Australian-born, London-based singer songwriter Cloves’ debut album was three years in the making. Cloves’ musical process and perspective has matured dramatically since the release of her acclaimed 2015 EP ‘XIII’. The EP landed her slots at Coachella and Lollapalooza as well as featuring a track on the 2016 film ‘Me Before You’.

‘One Big Nothing’ ended up being a big process of growth and maturity as she triumphed over feelings of anxiety and inadequacy. The process helped build her confidence and feel free to pursue the sounds and overall vision she had for the album, with the turning point coming one year in to the making of the album on the title track ‘One Big nothing’. “I stopped trying as much and became more experimental … I really started looking at what could I do differently, structurally and rhythmically. I gained confidence, one step at a time.” From there, the album took on more dimensions and directions”.

“I love making music but sometimes hate how it makes me feel about myself, but I’m working on it everyday to not let that get the best of me,” she says. “I am extremely proud of this album and the work that’s been put into it. I’m ready to put my last three years of work out there and I’m ready for what’s next.”
