Daisey Garrett wakes up in a hospital bed. She remembers her boyfriend has left her for another woman, but she doesn’t remember what happened to her the night she was attacked in her own home.

Daisey shouldn’t be alive but against all odds, she’s survived an ordeal most would never recover from.

But Daisey’s mind is broken. She’s on edge, drinking too much and, despite the painful breakup, finds herself in bed with her ex, Luke. And while she desperately tries to keep herself together, she can’t shake the feeling that she is being watched.

Yet the missing pieces of that fateful summer night are beginning to surface…

The lies she told the police.

The lies Luke told her.

Daisey’s memory is flickering like a faulty light bulb, flashing with images just out of reach.

She can’t remember. She mustn’t.

It’s hard to imagine how frightening it would be to wake up in hospital in both physical and emotional pain. Knowing that when you do go home the one support you are used to counting on isn’t there anymore, that relationship is gone. But lucky for Daisy she has her new found friend and housemate Iris who is going to help her through working out what happened that fateful night. Or will she? The fourth book in the Detective Dan Riley series, that can easily be read as a stand-alone. takes the reader on one wild ride. Full of so much tension and suspense, I was on the edge of my seat, completely addicted and hooked to see how this was all going to unfold. The plot pulled me in and Anna-Lou Weatherley does a great job of making you feel involved in the story. I was stuck to Dan’s side throughout as I tried to solve case with him. Each twist and turn had me gasping for breath and left me with a pounding heart as I furiously flicked the pages in our race to catch the killer! Even though I had only read the third book in the series before this one, I really love Dan’s character. He left a lasting impression on me and I enjoyed getting to know him that bit more this time round. The other cast of characters are well developed and written and I loved how Anna-Lou Weatherley takes the reader deep into the killers mind. A great job has been done and with sensitivity on the subject of mental illness. I enjoy Anna-Lou Weatherley’s engaging storytelling and she knows exactly how to grab the readers attention right from the get go, never letting up until the final page. If life had not rudely got in the way whilst reading this, I would have easily been able to read this in one sitting. The Woman Inside is a chilling police procedural crossed with a psychological thriller that is a real page turner. A throughly enjoyable and entertaining read, I look forward to seeing what Anna-Lou Weatherley will have in store for Detective Dan Riley next! It was a pleasure to read and review The Woman Inside which I recommend.

My Review: Loved, loved, loved this book!!!!! This is not my first rodeo with this author and it certainly won’t be my last. I’ve read several books by her and loved them all. This book is part of a series but it can be read as a stand alone. I’ve actually read this series out of order and had no problem with it. This book was about a woman that survived a brutal attack. It really took such a bad toll on her. She could only remember bits and pieces so the attacker was still at large and never caught. She was even drinking all the time to forget the pain. She did feel like she was being stalked afterwards. Was her attacker coming back to finish the job? Will her memory ever get better to catch her attacker? Will she ever feel at peace? You learn this and so much more by the end of the book. I want to start off by saying how much I love this author. She really knows how to entertain her readers. I could immerse myself in her books all day long. Let’s begin with her characters. They were fantastically written. I really felt the pain of each character and felt like I was right there living in their world. I felt so emotionally connected to each one. The plot of the story got me too. Once I read the blurb I said to myself I must read this read. The plot really had a good story line to it. It was so fast paced andI couldn’t put it down for the life of me. Now on to that ending. I didn’t see that one coming. It was so dark and twisted and I really felt bad for the attacker even though I knew I shouldn’t have. I loved every minute of that ending. It was like a roller coaster ride I never wanted to get off of. I will definitely be reading more of this authors book in the future. Between the plot, characters and all the twists in this book it made it an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A serial murder is wrecking havoc. When one of his victims is found alive, the police think they can finally solve the identity of the killer. Unfortunately the victim, Daisy, can’t remember anything from that night. As everyone searches for clues, mysteries start to unravel. For me this book was about the ‘why’ and not the ‘who’ of the serial murderer. I figured out fairly early in the book who he was or at least who had a connection to him. The book was then learning about why and how the person became who he was.
