In the majority of instructional design models, the main phases of the online course development cycle include: Analysis; Design; Development; Implementation; and Evaluation (ADDIE). In the framework presented here, the course development happens in five phases including: Planning; Design and Development; Production; Implementation; and Evaluation (PDPIE).
In each phase basic steps are illustrated and key/promising elements and required documents for a quality course are shared.
