The topside has been loaded out on to a barge for the offshore substation at the 370MW Norther offshore wind farm off the coast of Belgium.
The structure was built at Engie Fabricom's yard at Hoboken in Belgium.
Van Oord is the balance of plant contractor for the wind farm, with its workscope covering design, supply and installation of foundations, substation and export cable.
Norther will consist of 44 8.4MW MHI Vestas V164 turbines and is being developed by a joint venture of Eneco, Mitsubishi Corp subsidiary Diamond Generation Europe and Belgium energy company Elicio.
