Source Control Workshop 2019

In May, the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) and NOPSEMA in collaboration with International Offshore Petroleum Environment Regulators’ Forum (IOPER) will host the premier global source control event.
 
Attracting subsea well, safety, logistics and oil spill experts from around the world, this exclusive one-day workshop provides an opportunity for multi-disciplinary teams to come together and discuss current best practice. Participants will also deliberate benchmark considerations for improving future source control preparedness and arrangements for a timely emergency response.
 
Workshop sessions include:

  • Interactive and step-by-step capping stack deployment simulation
  • Presentations on pre-planning, mobilisation and deployment considerations by representatives from the International Association Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) Wells Expert Committee (subsea well response subcommittee) and leading global source control equipment and service organisations.
  • A Q&A panel discussion.
