GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION

We invite proposals for two contributions:

    • General Papers
  • Pre-composed Panels

All submissions are to be made at the dedicated website page of the conference

Detailed Instructions

General Papers (15 minutes presentation) – SUBMISSION PAGE

General papers will be allocated 15 minutes of presentation time in sessions composed by the organising committee. Submissions must conform to the template found at this link

It includes: the paper title and abstract (up to 250 words); name, affiliation and email contact of the author/s; and a short 50-100 word biography of the author/s. You should first create and save a complete PDF version of your submission using the template (Document 1). Then, you should remove all identifying information (author names, affiliations, email contacts and bios) and save a second anonymised PDF version of your submission (Document 2). When you submit through the website you will be prompted to upload both PDF documents: Document 1, the complete version which will be used in the conference program and NOT made available to reviewers; and Document 2, the anonymised version for peer review.

Panel Proposals (90 minutes – 3 papers) – SUBMISSION PAGE

Pre-composed panels will be allocated 90 minutes, incorporating 3 x 20 minute paper presentations and 10 minutes per paper Q&A. Submissions must conform to the template found at this link.

It includes: the title and abstract of the panel and each paper; name, affiliation and email of the panel organiser/s and paper author/s; and a short 50-100 word bio of the panel organiser/s and paper author/s. You should first create and save a complete PDF version of your submission using the template (Document 1). Then, you should remove all identifying information (author names, affiliations, email contacts and bios) and save a second anonymised PDF version of your submission (Document 2). When you submit through the website you will be prompted to upload both PDF documents: Document 1, the complete version which will be used in the conference program and NOT made available to reviewers; and Document 2, the anonymised version for peer review.

It is NOT necessary to be a member of the Radio Research Section of ECREA in order to participate in the conference, however ECREA members will be encouraged to join the section.

It is NOT necessary to be a member of ECREA in order to participate, although a substantial discount of the registration fee will apply to ECREA members.

Please bear in mind that the main language of the conference is English, but that contributions should be easily understood by as wide an audience as possible. You might consider presenting in one language and showing text on a PowerPoint in another.

All proposals should be uploaded through the website by the deadline of January 30, 2019 (18:00 hours Greenwich Mean Time).

All proposals will be acknowledged and then blind peer-reviewed by the conference scientific committee. Final decisions will be communicated to proposers personally no later than 15 March 2019

We look forward the Radio conference of ECREA in Siena will be a great opportunity to further progress in the development of the research on the radio medium and the creation and consumption of sound contents. We look forward to welcoming as many Radio Research Section members, other members of ECREA, and other scholars of radio as possible in SIENA in September.
