The Emerging and New Researchers in the Geographies of Health & Impairment (ENRGHI) conference was first hosted in 1994 under its previous name ‘Young Researchers in the Geography of Health’. Since this time, it has grown into a highly successful, and increasingly influential, conference which attracts postgraduates and early career researchers from within and outside the UK. The conference is now held biennially and hosted by different departments/universities across the UK. In 2018, it will be hosted by the University of Bristol on the 18th and 19th of June.

The Geographies of Health and Wellbeing Research Group (GHWRG) has coordinated the conference since its inception. GHWRG regards ENRGHI as an extremely important event for two principal reasons: firstly, it is organised by and for postgraduates and early career researchers; secondly, it provides a friendly and supportive environment for academic papers to be presented and discussed.

The Geographies of Health and Wellbeing Research Group (GHWRG) is part of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). More information about the research group committee, activities and membership is available at the GHWRG website.

We will be releasing information on ENRGHI 2018 soon. Please check back for details.
