About this event

Becoming a more dementia-friendly church? Or involving new people? If you're from a church in the Diocese of Lichfield - or, indeed, from any church across Staffordshire, The Black Country or north Shropshire - our Dementia-Friendly Church Network is for you. Across our network, we share resources and information, support and encouragement as we stay in step with people affected by dementia.

90 MINUTE INTRODUCTORY SESSION: If you're embarking on becoming a more dementia-friendly church, why not join our 90-minute online "Dementia-Friendly Church Introduction" - and you're welcome to invite others from your church/community to come along too.  Also, this session may be a great starting point when others from your church are getting more involved in taking action on dementia...

REASONS FOR COMING TO THE SESSION: We’ll focus together on dementia and our Diocese-wide dementia-friendly churches network. There are lots of good reasons to come:

  • I’m affected by dementia.
  • I know people at church and in our community affected by dementia.
  • I’d like to be able to stay in step with people with dementia.
  • We’d like to become a more dementia-friendly church.
  • Dementia’s not talked about much in our church.
  • I’d like to know a bit more about dementia and dementia-friendly church.

ZOOM LINK: This session will be held on Zoom and a Zoom link will be sent through to attendees ahead of the session.

The session will be run by Sarah Thorpe, Dementia-Friendly Church Enabler, Diocese of Lichfield.
