BGBW Mentorship Scheme Application Form
Below is an application form for members and associate members of the British Guild of Beer Writers who wish to apply to the Guild's free mentorship scheme.

Mentees will be offered a six-month period of access to a suitable mentor, with the aim of improving their beer communication, or with a specific project goal in mind. It might be to improve writing form, learn how to make podcasts, get guidance at the start of a book, or to improve beer knowledge and communication. The scheme takes the form of six in-person/digital meetings, during which mentees can get advice from their mentors, ask them for practical help, or get them to check through work. Additional time can be spent together and communication in between meetings is encouraged, but this is at the discretion of the mentor. The scheme is free, but mentors are paid for their time.

The process is managed by the Guild Membership Director (Emmie Harrison-West). We are currently aiming to run up to eight mentorships at a time, so depending on demand, not all applications will be successful – however all Associate members will be offered mentorship at the earliest opportunity. The mentors will be chosen by the Guild Committee, but the mentee can give their preferences.

*WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR JUNE - NOVEMBER 2024. PLEASE APPLY BEFORE TUESDAY 30TH APRIL 2024*
