NYVA: Feedback from old students
The COVID-19 pandemic has occasioned much change in the world, and within the New York Vipassana Association (NYVA). For over eighteen months, for example, NYVA stopped organizing in-person events. As we work to restart NYVA, we would like to hear from you to better understand what you need and how you would like to participate. Your thoughts will provide important guidance for our efforts next year, as we work to serve Dhamma and our local community of over 12,000 meditators in the year ahead.
How has COVID changed the support you need or want for your meditation practice? For example, are daily sittings at the NYC Dhamma House less important to you now that you’re not commuting? Do you wish there were more group sittings closer to home? Or that there were more local bilingual 10-day courses? More remote service opportunities? Something else?
How could you participate in NYVA to make these things happen?
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience with NYVA?
