About this ebook

Take one sea-view villa, add two dates with a Greek God, a few glasses of wine, a dash of accidental nudity, and a heavy dose of sunshine. Recipe for a perfect getaway… or an absolute disaster?

Small, shy, safe. That’s how Becky lives ever since her last romantic calamity landed her in hospital. Her comfort zone is as confining as her tiny bank balance, and fiercely guarded by her totally over-the-top mum. But the news that her ex is back sniffing round is the final straw. In a very un-Becky move, she packs her bags for the Greek island of Skiathos. Maybe the setting of her favourite ABBA movie will be just the break from reality Becky needs…

Stepping aboard the Mamma Mia! boat tour, Becky leaves her fear in the port as she sings… out loud… in public, and cries Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! to everything the Greek life has to offer. She befriends locals young, old, and absolutely perfect (hello, sizzling hot restaurant-owner Kyros!), dines on freshly baked bread drizzled in golden olive oil on a starlit date, and walks barefoot along silky sandy beaches.

When Kyros asks her to stay longer, Becky is stunned. Could she really create a new life for herself here, and trust her heart with this smooth-talking charmer? But just as she’s thinking about putting down roots, her troublesome ex makes a dramatic return, begging for her back. Will she go back to playing it safe, or will she take a chance on Greece and embrace her true dancing queen?

An absolutely laugh-out-loud summer rom-com guaranteed to give you THAT holiday feeling! Perfect for fans of Carole Matthews, Jenny Colgan and Sophie Kinsella.

I'm back for my third outing to Greece with this great author. This time to Skiathos - the location for the Mama Mia films. Becky got sucked into a life of abuse with her horrible ex. But when he almost killed her, she knew she had to leave. She disappeared to the other side of the country and her elderly parents came with her. She's made a new life for herself and found a few ride-or-die friends along the way. But her little shop is struggling and she's paranoid that some helpful features in a local publication might help the ex find her. She gets some relief in the form of an unexpected holiday. Her well-heeled uncle is off on his travels and offered up his villa to Becky for a few weeks and she jumps at the chance. Taking her two besties in tow, they set off for Skiathos. Becky and the girls take to Greece like ducks to water and are soon steeped in local life, while also trying out a few tacky tourist tours to keep things exciting. Meeting a grumpy local on a local bench however sets Becky on a whole new path. OMW Paige and Abby are just about the best friends a girl could get. They each have their own problems and yet still manage to be there for Becky. Paige should really rub the wrong way with her party-girl antics but she is actually really sweet. Kyros and Becky are a really sweet and slow-burn couple. They really do start off as friends and are comfortable with one another, probably helped by the fact that Kyros and his family are known to Becky's uncle. I loved learning more about the intrepid trio's trials and troubles. Becky opening up to Kyros about her ex was very well done and he handled it so well. It would be easy to just make this into a summer fling but these two were so worthy of a full-on HEA, they thoroughly deserved it. The odious ex got his just desserts too! Another great addition to the collection and my only quibble was it was set on Skiathos and not my "2nd home" island of Rhodes LOL. Wonderful characters, gentle but loving romance, and a beautifully detailed description of Greek island life.

BLOG TOUR REVIEW Review for 'Greece Actually' by Sue Roberts. Read and reviewed via NetGalley for Sue Roberts, Bookouture publishers and Bookouture anonymous Publication date 13th August 2021. This is the second book I have read by this author. I have previously read 'Going Greek' which I also recommend. I was originally drawn to this book by its beautiful eye catching cover, its intriguing synopsis and title and its extremely talented author. The synopsis stated that 'Perfect for fans of Carole Matthews, Jenny Colgan and Sophie Kinsella.' I am a huge fan of Jenny Colgan and Sophie Kinsella so am looking forward to seeing if this lives up to this statement. I am also a huge fan of Sue Roberts and if this is half as good as 'Going Greek' it is sure to be a page turning read. I must admit I was also biased due to the publisher being Bookouture. I have yet to read a book published by Bookouture that I haven't enjoyed. Hopefully this won't be the first... Watch this space! (Writ

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for providing me with an eARC! This book felt like a warm hug enveloped in the plane tickets for the trip of your dreams. I devoured it so quickly and wish I had savoured it more because it was so lovely! The characters, the setting, everything about this book was comforting and made me want to continue living in the pages. This is the first book that I’ve read from this author but it definitely will not be the last!
