Food and Drink Wales Industry Board - Chair's Update

It’s hard to believe that just two short months ago we were in the throes of one of the greatest heatwaves the country’s ever seen, but aside from scorching temperatures the summer of 2018 will also be remembered for a number of fantastic industry events. Most notably, the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show, which as usual was a highlight of the calendar year.

The initial engagement exercise with our stakeholders is drawing to a close. The full report gives you a flavour of the strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities of the industry. We will continue to analyze our findings and refine these broad themes in preparation of our formal consultation exercise, which is expected to start in the New Year.
