InYouth wellbeing project

During 2023, Heath Hands delivered the ‘InYouth’ programme to support young people who struggle with school attendance.

The project aimed to promote mental wellbeing and gave participants a chance to engage with nature on Hampstead Heath by taking part in activities such as hands on conservation , nature-based art activities and forest-school style experiences.

Participants gained a range skills, meeting other young people and were able to:

·       learn about the environment

·       take part in forest school/bushcraft style activities

·       gain practical skills such as using tools/gardening

·       woodworking, e.g., building habitat boxes

·       nature art sessions

·       discover hidden parts of Hampstead Heath.

In early 2024, after 12 months of delivery, the project was handed over to the City of London’s Learning Team.
