Travel restrictions on travelers from Malaysia & Thailand

All seafarers coming from or who have been to Malaysia and Thailand within 14 days immediately preceding arrival in the Philippines, except Filipinos returning pursuant to government-initiated repatriation programs, or as part of non-government repatriation programs and special commercial flights allowed under existing IATF resolutions, shall be prohibited from entering the country effective 0001H of 25 July 2021 (Manila Time) until 2359H of 31 July 2021.

Effective immediately, all seafarers who have been to Malaysia and Thailand within 14 days immediately preceding arrival in the Philippines, arriving before 0001H of 25 July 2021 shall not be prohibited from entering the country, but shall be required to undergo an absolute facility-based 14-day quarantine period, not withstanding a negative RTPCR result.

Filipino and foreign seafarers with no immigration stamp/admission from Malaysia and Thailand will be subjected to the existing testing and quarantine protocols of the national government.

All specimens from seafarers coming from Malaysia and Thailand that turned positive upon testing in the Philippines shall undergo Whole Genome Sequencing. All close contacts must undergo facility-based quarantine for fourteen (14) days and contact tracing shall expand up to the third-generation contacts.
