Who Are WE?

The Aston Ravens are the Official Cheerleading Team for Aston University, catering for over 60 members. This year we have a Competition Team, of around 30 members, who train twice a week in preparation for two national level competitions; the Future Cheer University Nationals and ICC University Nationals.

Furthermore, we are excited to announce the      debut year of our Display Team, which is made up of around 20 members. The Display Team  train once a week to prepare for Varsity, a local university organised competition, as well as other promotional events.

Our Goal?

Our goal is to raise £1,470 to purchase two new cheerleading floor mats for training. Currently, the Aston Ravens only have three mats to train on, compared to the nine that are used at competitions. Whilst we feel very fortunate to have our current mats however, a larger practice area would give us a greater chance at competitions. A larger training space would be more realistic to the full competition floor meaning more advanced stunts could practised and performed safely.

As an ever-growing club, we would greatly appreciate your help in reaching our goal as these mats would allow us to encourage more people to get active and take part in the sport. Furthermore, these mats are of high quality, meaning they can be used for many years to come. As the sport can be dangerous we take safety very seriously, minimising injuries is a priority. Eventually, and as the club continues to progress, we would hope to have enough mats to make a full competition floor.
