One of the train drivers involved in the Salisbury train crash has suffered “life-changing injuries”, police said.
The British Transport Police (BTP) said that nobody was killed but added: “Thirteen people were taken to hospital by ambulance, where they have received treatment for minor injuries. One remains there.
“Unfortunately, the driver of the train was more seriously injured and his injuries are believed to be life-changing. He also remains in hospital in a stable condition this morning.”
It is understood that a driver had to be cut out of his cab.
Travel disruption is expected to last for days after a train crash in Salisbury in which 13 people were hurt.
