A Papua New Guinea court has revoked the arrest warrant for the former University of Technology vice-chancellor Albert Schram.

However, the newspaper the National reported a magistrate saying charges against Dr Schram remained and that he would be arrested if he returned to PNG.
Last year, Dr Schram was charged with obtaining employment through false pretence.
He was granted bail to retrieve his PhD certificate from Italy but did not return to PNG, labelling his prosecution politically driven.
In February 2018, Dr Schram was dismissed by the Unitech council for failing to present his credentials.
But the Dutch academic said the council had been misled by disgruntled staff after he eliminated illegal staff allowances.
He also described elements of the council as being politically appointed.
As well as revoking the warrant, the Committal Court ordered Dr Schram's $US3000 bail bond be forfeited to the state as his location was unknown.
