Course Content
This course will support you develop your knowledge and skills to reflect and look at your own reactions to change and the impact this can have on others. You will explore mechanisms for coping with change and how to help yourself and others in times of change.
During each session you will explore:
• How to reflect on the positive and negative impacts of change
• Describe the reactions people may have to change
• Describe how you perceive change
• Outline tools to support you and others to adapt to different circumstances
This course is for anyone aged 19 or over.
No previous experience is required. Basic IT skills are essential.
You will need access to a Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone. Please bring a notepad, pen or pencil and a small folder for handouts and your work. You may wish to use a memory stick.
This course will be delivered online. You will need access to the internet and an email account. Your teacher will contact you on a weekly basis through Skype, email and you will have the opportunity to contribute to group discussions across the County.
Your teacher will give verbal and written feedback throughout the course
You will receive an ALSS certificate of achievement on successful completion of this course.

  • English, maths including GCSEs and computing courses (up to Level 1) are FREE subject to eligibility (adult learners aged 19+ at 31st August 2023).
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your individual employed/self employed income is below £20,319.
  • If you have not yet achieved a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, you could learn for FREE.
  • Don’t worry if you have already gained a Level 3 qualification, but want to change your career path and try something new – you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan which you start to pay back when you earn over £27,295.
  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
