Hi Everyone!

Hopefully you landed here from Seeka’s blog, and are already enjoying the inspiration on today’s blog hop celebrating the release of Altenew’s Rustic Charm Collection. I have several projects to share with you today – if you’re just seeing this, you can head to the Altenew blog start at the beginning of today’s hop and giveaway!

For my first project today, I’m featuring the True Friends stamp set, and Mid Century Cover. die from today’s release. The cover die is cut from Jet Black cardstock, spritzed with Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray (stay tuned to see how I created a two for one card with this spritz !) and set aside to dry.

The pretty leaves cluster is actually all of the images from the True Friends stamp set, heat embossed on Bristol cardstock with Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder. I colored them in Fuchsia ink, using the coordinating masking stencil, fading out for depth using a small blending tool. After die-cutting, I gathered them all up and adhered them to the front of the cover die cut, tying them into a bouquet using silver Altenew Thread.

The sentiment is also from True Friends, heat embossed in Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder on Jet Black cardstock, which I trimmed into strips and popped up on top of the cover die cut. I also added my spare leaf over the top to tie in with the central bouquet.

To adhere the cover die cut to the white notecard, I flipped it over and added foam squares/tape behind the other foam tape used to adhere the elements. That way, the die cut appears to float on the top of the white notecard.

So here’s the second card I mentioned earlier, that I created using the Mid Century Cover die. I created a bright watercolor panel with water color makers (I used the Spring Garden set) spritzing several times with water using the BRAND NEW Altenew Fine Mister – this creates a fine mist of water on your project, so you don’t get big splotches!

When dried, I overlaid the black Mid Century Cover die cut on my watercolor panel, and spritzed the Antique Gold Metallic Spray. That gives me not only the fabulous panel I used in my first card, but also created an awesome ‘stencilled’ pattern on my watercolor panel. For that extra ‘pop’ I lined up the the cover die with the pattern, and dry embossed it to add texture.

I adhered the panel onto a white notecard with fun foam. The sentiment is from the new Bold You. stamp set, heat embossed in Pure White on vellum, and die cut out. I adhered it with foam strips to the panel. The ‘are enough’ was heat embossed in Antique Gold onto vellum, fussy cut out and adhered over the You. I finished with a few sparkling clear sequins.

My next card features the gorgeous Layered Snowflakes 3D embossing folder. I dry embossed a panel of hot pink card stock, and ink blended some darker colors including Ultraviolet, and Plum ink. I also blended a little Enchanted Gold pigment ink on each of the snowflakes.

I added lots of water splatters with the new Fine Mister, as well as with Pure White Ink Spray and Iridescent Spray. I adhered it to a white notecard. I added the Fancy Peace sentiment, die cut several times from white cardstock, stacked and adhered to the centre. The #4EVER sentiment is from the Doodled Triangles stamp set. I finished with a few Satin White sequins.

My next card features the Home Sweet Home stamp and die set. This is a super cute set perfect for coloring. I used my alcohol markers to color in the house, plants and smoke (there’s also a little path but I chose to not use it this time.) I used the Rock Garden set for flowers , windows, doors and leaves, and the Water Garden set for the structure of the house and the plant pots.

After die cutting out the elements, I added a little sparkly gel pen on the florals. My background is white card stock, dry embossed with the Deck Planks 3D embossing folder. I mounted each of the elements onto the panel with foam tape, and embellished the windows with Nuvo Crystal Glaze for that glassy look.

I heat embossed the sentiment in Pure White embossing powder, on Jet Black cardstock and trimmed it out, mounting it next to the scene. I added a few more ‘floral’ embellishments to the plant pots with Nuvo Drops, and a few around the sentiment to finish.

My final card featuring today’s release uses the new Gold Splatter Cosmic Berry Wide Washi Tape. This is a gorgeous deep berry color, with bright pops of gold, in an extra wide size, perfect for covering cardstock and die cutting, which I did for this card using the Bold You die. I also heat embossed the floral scrolls from the stamp set in Rose Gold, and colored them with Red Sunset alcohol markers. I then die cut them out and layered on top of two more die cuts for dimension.

For my background, I Rose Gold heat embossed the striped stamp from Bold You in the top corner of a panel of 4 x 5.25″ card stock. I added several splatters, using Cosmic Berry Metallic Shimmer Ink Spray, and Jet Black Ink Spray. I aligned the die cuts, and before adhering, stamped the ‘are enough’ onto the panel in Obsidian ink. I then adhered the die cuts, popping the ‘You’ up on a double layer of foam tape. I finished with a few matte gold sequins and adhered the panel with red craft foam onto a note card.
