Captain supports KCST and Killie Trust Kiltwalk challenge

Friday’s first team clash with Arbroath is not the only big challenge on the horizon this weekend as our KCST (Kilmarnock Community Sports Trust) team join forces with The Killie Trust to take part in the annual Kiltwalk.

Paul Di Giacomo, Daryl Knapp and Grant Moore will join Trust members on the mighty stride, which totals 16.5 miles to raise funds to enhance our programme delivery within our local area.

And our lads will look the part in their Kilmarnock FC kilts, kindly donated in a wonderful act of generosity from long-time club sponsors, McCallum Bagpipes.

Captain Chris Stokes was on hand to support the fundraising efforts by paying a visit to the McCallum’s store at Moorfield Industrial Estate and say thank you to the company for their kind donations.

Both our KCST team and The Killie Trust are passionate about helping people in our community and garnering a love from Killie through a range of events and projects.

Every penny raised from the Kiltwalk will go into programmes such as Football Memories, which allows participants including those with dementia and Alzheimer’s to gather together and bond over their recollections of Killie’s rich history.

Other projects aided by our fundraising include educational and active courses like GoFitba –  highlighting the benefits of healthy eating and a nutritious diet.

There’s still time to register to join the team for the mighty stride (16.5 miles) or the wee wander (3.5 miles), simply click and select ‘KCST & Trust In Killie Kilties’ as your team and start fundraising for the community today.

You can support our team’s fundraising efforts through their JustGiving page

If you are joining the team then we’d love to see you wearing your Killie strips with pride on the day.

Thanks again to McCallum Bagpipes for all their support and good luck to everyone taking part on Sunday.
