Recommendations for External Appointments Application

As part of its mandate, the Law Society recommends potential appointees to a variety of boards, councils and committees.

Current opportunities
The Law Society is seeking applications from qualified paralegals and lawyers for the following:

  • Justices of the Peace Appointments Advisory Committee - Northeast

Only lawyers and paralegals living and/or working in the Northeast region will be considered. 

The application deadline has been extended to May 24, 2024

Application process

The Law Society accepts applications through the online application form only.  It is possible to cut and paste text into the electronic form, however, the form does not preserve formatting such as italics and bullets. For bullet points, please use a standard dash at the beginning of the line. 

You may upload additional information, for example a CV.  In order to upload your document using the online submission form, your document must:
•be a PDF, DOC or DOCX file
•be no bigger than 5 MB
