Echoes of Gallipoli: For those left behind | Zoom, Monday 29 April, 7.30pm UK time | Chris Shaw will talk about the ideas behind, the research he undertook, the writing and the reaction to his highly regarded book, Echoes of Gallipoli: For those left behind.
It describes the cultural background of a representative family of each of the ten nationalities who formed the Allied forces in Gallipoli, the fictional conditions that lead to the death or wounding of that soldier and explores the various family reactions to the news.

Zoom speakers needed | Our Zoom talks are very popular. We’re always on the lookout for new speakers. The talks are normally on the last Tuesday evening of the month, lasting an hour. The topic has to have a Gallipoli connection but is otherwise down to the speaker. We have experts on Zoom who can deal with the technology. If you have a particular interest in the campaign, or a relative's story to share, please contact Ian Binnie on education@gallipoli-association.org. |
