We thought you'd like to hear the latest from John

Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping that you're all OK in these worrying times. In this last month or so I have almost recovered from a pressure sore on my backbone. This along with covid has stopped me from exercising as often as I needed. What I've done to counter this is researched a quality standing frame, and I've just recently ordered an outdoor wheelchair which will be with me for March. I have had to change tac on my original outdoor set up but it will be a safer option. I'm really looking forward to getting into the countryside again. The standing frame will make a massive difference to my overall health, it will strengthen my muscles and help with osteoporosis which I'm prone to because of my time in a wheelchair. I'm going to need about 8 hours training with the frame but I already feel after trying one out at Phisibility in Stonehouse that it will be a great addition to my general physio routine. It makes things like Boxing, Stretching and Dumbell weights that much more do-able. A very positive move that will help decrease the pain and help strengthen my overall wellbeing. My positive nature coupled with getting stronger, my future feels quite bright.

Burt the dog is now about a year old. He's been such great company, he loves walking and his toys and has been a really healthy little thing. I must say a massive thank you to Louise who has been brilliant all the way through my recovery, I couldn't have done it without her. And thank you all for your continuing support,  I couldn't have done it without you either.

Yours
