Who comes to class?
We are always happy for new students to join us. The class has men and women, generally 40 plus. 

You don't have to be bendy or super strong or glamorous.
The class can help you change your body overtime.  Everybody finds something difficult and that is OK!


You do not have to do everything - it is totally fine to take breaks and work at your own pace. 

It is a group class, there are some basic movements that will be included each week:
  • Sitting and lying on the floor - we have mats, cushions, padding and blankets for comfort.
  • Getting up from the floor to stand
  • Spending time be on all fours.
  • Breathwork exercises
  • Being barefoot 

 Think you may struggle?

You can take breaks when you need and I will do my best to offer alternatives if you need them.  

If you will struggle with the above, I can still hel.  But it might be that some personal sessions would be better first.  You can always share them with a friend.

Hi, I'm Julie 
I know it can be difficult to take time to look after yourself. It isn't selfish.  It's essential so you can continue to look after your family or be there for friends. 

I am a movement and holistic health specialist.  I have taught yoga for over 10 years.  I came to yoga to help soothe my chronic anxiety and PTSD. Simple, effective breathwork and relaxation have always been a cornerstone of my own practice.

My yoga classes are infused from this perspective.
What to expect in class
Each week will include:
  • Movements to free the spine and help you feel more mobile
  • Simple and effective breathwork exercises so you can feel calm, focused and lightly energised.
  • Relaxation practices 
  • Themed movement practice 
  • Repetition to build progress, enough variety to keep it interesting
  • Personal adjustments and coaching 
Where are the classes?
The venue is a little bit special.  We have recently moved to the The Chakra Room, it's a warm, cosy, welcoming space dedicated to all sorts of holistic practices in the centre of Ramsbottom. 
No big drafty halls here.  The space is smaller so the group is too.  

You are welcome to bring your own mat.  But we have plenty of everything you will need if not.

Your'e welcome to just book one session or alternativly you can book block sessions. Just select the weeks that work for you. 

The more consistent you become the more you will benefit.
I love Julie's yoga classes and can't recommend them enough. Her knowledge of how your body should move and function underlies everything she does. She will help you to correct any misalignemnts during the class.
