Steinway Artist, James Longford, to perform thought-provoking programme of piano music at Ventnor Fringe Festival

Steinway Artist and Isle of Wight resident, James Longford, will be performing a thought-provoking programme of music for piano inspired by aspects of daily life in current times at this year’s Ventnor Fringe Festival.

James explains,

“The rhythms of daily life were disrupted for everyone last year and, as a musician, my life is still hugely affected.

“As we slowly return to some sort of normality I wanted to share a programme exploring aspects of daily life over the last year or so – repetition, self-reflection, (small) journeys, grief, inactivity, box sets, new discoveries, gratitude – through music old and new, challenging and familiar, from the Renaissance to Minimalism.”

Music by Byrd, John Adams, Philip Glass and Keith Jarrett.
