For the last few years I’ve contemplated whether to join this charity ride to Cannes, only to think better of it - my occasional weekend leisure cycling is a long way from the level needed to participate in such an endeavour.
This year however, I’ve decided to bite the bullet, to challenge myself in this gruelling exploit, and to see how much I can raise for Club Peloton and Coram.
My training - dark winter evenings and cold weekend mornings - is ongoing and I'm making good progress. I'm confident I'll be in decent shape come March
I’m really keen to maximise the amount I raise in what I absolutely intend will be a one-off event.
My target is £3,000 but would love to exceed this amount.
Any and all contributions will be hugely appreciated.
Thanks, Robert

"Good luck Bob, but a word on your future from Flann O’Brien: “The gross and net result of [so much peddling] is that people who spent most of their natural lives riding iron bicycles over the rocky roadsteads of this parish get their personalities mixed up with the personalities of their bicycle as a result of the interchanging of the atoms of each of them and you would be surprised at the number of people in these parts who are nearly half people and half bicycles...when a man lets things go so far that he is more than half a bicycle, you will not see him so much because he spends a lot of his time leaning with one elbow on walls or standing propped by one foot at kerbstones.”

Raising Funds For
Club Peloton
Club Peloton is a fundraising charity which uses cycling as its platform for challenge events, bringing together a love for the sport and the opportunity to raise money for great causes.
Our main grant recipient - receiving two thirds of all funds raised - is Coram, the UK’s oldest and first children’s charity that has been supporting vulnerable children for over 275 years. Their flagship service, Coram Adoption, is the most successful voluntary adoption agency in the UK., finding loving and secure homes for some of the most vulnerable and hard-to-place children in the country. They now help more than 1.25 million children and young people every year, and this would not be possible without the generosity of our riders
Club Peloton will be supporting Coram’s vital programmes, with a specific focus on Coram’s unrivalled and pioneering adoption service. For more information please visit: www.coram.org.uk.
