Garden on the Green

Help us to create a beautiful garden in the south- west corner of Newington Green.

Lockdown proved how important local green-spaces are for our mental health and wellbeing. For many local residents without outside space, it was absolutely vital.

Working together, The Garden Classroom and Newington Green Action Group will transform a tired and underdeveloped space into a family-friendly area, with planting to encourage biodiversity and wildlife; additional trees to reduce air and noise pollution; a circular seating area to be used by the public and local groups for workshops and meetings; and natural paths and nature trails for children.

We aim to build a magical space- a community garden for all and a symbol of recovery and growth.
