November 22, 2022: Saga Cruises has today launched its first ten new ocean itineraries for 2024 with up to 35 per cent off.

The cruises depart between January 4 and March 19, 2024 on Spirit of Adventure and Spirit of Discovery, and there’s something for everyone including the Canary Islands, Africa, Norway, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and the Adriatic.

Highlights include Spirit of Adventure’s Africa’s Atlantic Coast cruise departing on February 3 for 30-nights, visiting Morocco, Senegal (whose name means ‘our boat’) and The Gambia, as well as the Canary Islands, Madeira, Gibraltar and parts of mainland Spain. There will be included excursions in Cadiz, Las Palmas, Santa Cruz (Tenerife), Funchal and Coruna and prices start from £7,995 per person.

Making the most of the weather in January, Spirit of Discovery will head to the Caribbean on January 18 for a 30-night cruise calling first at Tenerife before heading to Antigua, and thanks to the ship’s boutique size, then navigating the smaller islands of Nevis, Martinique, Grenada, Bequia and Dominica before returning via St Lucia, Barbados and Sao Miguel. The cruise includes tours of Santa Cruz (Tenerife), St John’s (Antigua), St George’s (Grenada), Castries (St Lucia) and Ponta Delgada (Sao Miguel and prices start from £7,519 per person.

There will be four Canary Island cruises on offer, including a 15-night Night Skies of the Canaries and a 14-night Canary Island Discovery on Spirit Adventure departing from Portsmouth on January 5 and January 20, 2024 respectively, plus another two Canary Island Discovery cruises on Spirit of Discovery departing Portsmouth on January 4 and February 17. Each cruise will visit Lanzarote, Tenerife, La Palma and Madeira. The Night Skies of the Canaries cruise also calls at La Coruna, Cadiz and San Sebastian, while the Canary Island Discovery itineraries instead visit El Ferrol. All four cruises also include four panoramic tours, and there will be optional excursions available. Prices for the Night Skies of the Canaries start from £3,049 per person, while Canary Island Discovery starts from £2,845.

There are also two Magic of the Northern Lights cruises available at the peak time to see them on either Spirit of Discovery departing on March 2, or Spirit of Adventure sailing on March 19. The 15-night cruises that will visit Flam, Bergen, Tromso, Alta and Alesund in Norway with three included excursions. Prices start from £3,712 per person.

On March 4, Spirit of Adventure will depart on the ever-popular Taste of the Mediterranean cruise, visiting Gibraltar, Spain, France, Minorca, Majorca and Portugal with four included excursions and prices starting from £3,631 per person. On March 17 Spirit of Discovery will head off on a 22-night Easter cruise of the Adriatic visiting Gibraltar, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Sardinia and Portugal costing from £5,923 per person.

New this year and in response to guest feedback, a selection of premium label spirits are also available at no additional cost.
