The Burns Price Foundation makes grants to young people between the ages of 11 and 18. Rotary Club of Stevenage with Just Be A Child

The Virtual Doctors

The Virtual Doctors are a UK-based charity with a Zambian & Malawian operation. We use a Smartphone App to connect rural health care centres with volunteer Doctors, based in the UK. Global Sight Solutions is an avoidable blindness charity. REMIT

Rotarians Eliminating Malaria in Tanzania aims to raise funds to provide chemically impregnated nets, insecticides and medicines as well as HaemaCue machines to check for malaria. Funding will be provided also for education and awareness through the training of local workers who will go into the villages to educate the local people in the way of symptoms, treatments and prevention.

Rotary Shoebox Scheme

Formed by Rotary members over 25 years ago to assist the orphans in Romania, gradually we have developed, to supply small acts of kindness in several countries in Eastern Europe, for people who are disadvantaged. We are all volunteers, with no paid employees, and have delivered over 1 million boxes since we started.

As a Rotary charity we have been promoting LifeStraw as a product for safe clean drinking water for the last 15 years. LifeStraw® is a portable water filter that effectively removes all bacteria and parasites responsible for causing common diarrhoeal diseases. Water Survival Box

A Rotary club-led rapid response for families with no access to safe drinking water and who have lost everything in a disaster. Volunteers undertake the management of the project and all practical work.

Wrap Up UK

Wrap Up UK is an annual project run by Rotary clubs working in partnership with Hands on London. Its sole aim is to collect warm coats for distribution to charities supporting people across the UK who struggle to keep warm during the winter months.
