Hello Everyone,

It is my ultimate pleasure to be part of the annual Deck the Halls with Inky Paws Blog Hop organised by Newton’s Nook Designs. It is a fun hop with a lot of talented designers and prizes too.

For my card I used older products which were released in 2019 and 2020.

I started with stamping the Holiday Fringe image and a cute dog from Christmas Puppies on alcohol friendly white cardstock and coloured them with Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. I used the following colours: dog: EB4, RB2, RB1,BG2, BG1, AG4, AG2, DR3, DR1, CT3, CT1; fringe: DR5, DR3, DR1, RB2, RB1, CT3, CT1, AG5, AG4, AG2, DG4, DG2, BT9, BT7, BT5. I used the coordinating die to cut the puppy out. I also trimmed the fringe a bit, leaving a little white frame around the coloured image.

While I was die cutting I cut a few layers: a kraft scalloped square with the Frames Square die set, a scalloped white circle and a smaller stitched kraft one with the Circle frames die set. I also used a simple circle die from Pink and Main to cut a red circle as an in-between layer.

After assembling the layers and popping up the puppy with 3D foam squares I used a Sakura sparkle pen on the lights, some clear shimmer on the packages and emphasized the eyes and nose of the puppy with a black glaze pen. As a final touch I added glossy accents to the bulbs and ribbons. In real life it looks so beautiful with the different textures and raised, shiny look!

For the sentiment I die cut the word Ho Ho Ho from rec cardstock using the Ornament Shaker die set and stamped Merry Woofmas under it from the Christmas Puppies stamp set.
