We are working towards providing a mentoring service within schools in Plymouth, offering emotional and spiritual support to young people, including those who have or are in danger of experiencing Adverse Childhood Experiences, and helping them to grow in confidence, resilience and personal skills.
To support us with that aim, we are looking to recruit a Christian with experience of, and a passion for, developing effective community programmes for young people, their families and communities.
As the successful candidate, you will recruit, train and motivate a team of volunteers to successfully support the mentoring service. You will also be delivering assemblies and R.E. lessons, facilitating small group and individual work and, where appropriate, developing staff chaplaincy. You will also be able to identify and follow through on opportunities to signpost to our local Corps (Church) programmes and other missional activities.
