Mainly known for his romantic Latin pop songs, Abraham Mateo shocked his fans when he dropped “Loco Enamorado” with Christian Daniel and Farruko back in 2017.
Flaunting his new sound as an urban artist, the Spanish singer dropped more hot collaborations, including “Se Acabo el Amor” featuring Jennifer Lopez and Yandel in the spring of 2018. Now, he’s back to make us dance with his first non-collaborative tune in a while: “A Camara Lenta,” premiering exclusively on Billboard.
“I think this is the perfect time to express myself as a solo artist in a song,” he tells Billboard. “It’s a very special composition of mine and something so personal that it had to come out as a solo song. Plus, it has that flamenco touch that represents me,” he adds.

The flirtatious music video was filmed in the colorful streets of Cuba by director Daniel Duran, whom he says it’s always a pleasure to work with. “Cuba has something magical in every corner,” he says.
As for his jump from pop music to urban, Mateo says his fans are more than happy with his new style. “I made a radical change in everything, personally, musically, and it’s been a very important evolution for me and very positive,” he says, adding that everyone knows his songs.
