Why this petition matters

The dedicated renal teams at Welshpool and Wrexham have chosen to specialise in dialysis to provide life sustaining treatment for chronically ill patients in an environment close to their homes helping to minimise the stress, discomfort and impact on their lives.

By being forced to transfer their contracts to the private sector, potentially the nurses working hours, pay grades and job security will be affected and completely out of the NHS structure. This insecurity is causing them and their families a great deal of worry and upset.

This is the profession these highly skilled nurses have chosen and trained in over many years and do not believe this change to the private sector is in the best interests of the NHS or the renal units.

They care deeply for all of the renal patients health and continued wellbeing under their care. By signing this petition you will be helping the staff to remain in their current roles enabling them to carry on doing the job that they love within the NHS who they are extremely proud to be working for.
