Waverley Oval is a much-loved local Sporting ground and Park.

It is used by De La Salle Amateur Football Club, De La Salle College, Korowa Girls School, GSV and ACC Sport, East Malvern Junior Cricket Club, the German Shepherd Dog School, as an off-lead dog park, and by many local users.

The existing club rooms, change rooms, and parkland amenities are owned by Stonnington Council. The facilities are non-compliant, DDA non-compliant, have no gender-neutral change rooms, are unsafe for oval users, are unclean, unkept, and unacceptable for any community sport.

The facilities need to be inclusive and urgently need new changerooms, toilets, social spaces, and upgraded lighting to make the precinct SAFE and USABLE for sporting users and public use (especially at night).

Our local women, girls, and non-binary persons are unable to utilise the facilities as they should be in 2023. Help us end discrimination in sport.

Stonnington Council, we beg you to masterplan this oval, engage with all users, design new facilities and deliver them ASAP.
