What appears to be light and entertaining, can be dark and lonely behind the curtains. On the stage a mask, offstage the truth.
In a universe, where theatre is life and life is a dream we find two performers, doing whatever they can to help each other through their show night after night.
Inspired by testimonies from those affected by suicide, Ephemeral Ensemble invites you to take a look behind the curtain at loneliness and depression in a sensitive and timely exploration of friendship.
Running time: 60min.
This performance was developed with support from PAPYRUS - Prevention of young suicide, L.A.S (Life After Suicide), Haringey London and supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
OFFSTAGE is our first fully realised production. Previewed at Blue Elephant in the last week of October 2017, originally titled as “The Actualisation Show”.
