About this event

This day will be looking at a meadow that has fallen out of management. We will discuss appropriate ways to restore the site to its former glory, key species to look out for when assessing the viability of restoration, soil sampling and how to reseed a meadow. We will then undertake some of the practical work in the afternoon, helping to clear areas of scrub to give wildflowers a chance to thrive on the site.

Where: Cheshire Grill, Lach Dennis, Holmes Chapel Road, CW9 7SY

What to bring: gloves, food and drink, any medication that you might need, sturdy footwear and weather appropriate clothing

Organised by

Cheshire Wildlife Trust is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK. With the invaluable support of volunteers and members we manage around 40 nature reserves. We also work with other organisations and landowners to protect and connect wildlife sites across the county and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live.

As the region’s leading wildlife charity, we act as a voice for wildlife and the environment, meeting with those who shape and influence our countryside from your local community to Westminster.
