This fundraiser was originally set up to help allay the costs of Chris fighting his second bout with cancer. As you undoubtedly know if you are here, we tragically lost Chris on February 5, 2021. The fundraiser was a success but I never closed it - and since he passed, folks have been looking to find a way to help Lakisha and Linc however they can. And this has exploded in a way that truly warms my heart.
Please know that Lakisha is the ONLY person who can withdraw funds and I have gotten enough questions (which I appreciate, we need to make sure that these funds go to HER) that I've posted a picture of our Twitter messaging from the summer:
Thanks to all who have already given. It is amazing the outpouring of love here, on Twitter and Reddit, and on NFL Network. Chris was a man who was loved by all who "met" him even if it was just over media and not in "real life" whatever that is.

Chris Wesseling, NFL writer, husband, father and friend to many, has had a relapse and cancer is trying yet again to have its way. While we know Chris and his ace cornerman Lakisha (and Lincoln, their newborn son) will beat this - AGAIN - the last thing they need is to worry about bills. While we can't solve everything, let's do what we can to help them out. Let's make sure they know WE HAVE THEIR BACK.
I've set a $5,000 target. I'd love it if we blew this out of the water. UPDATE: We did just that, in less than 48 hours! I've updated the target to $10,000. YOU GUYS ROCK.
All the funds will simply be sent over to Lakisha and Wess. If you can give a little, give a little. If you can give more, even better. And if you can't do anything, feel free to just share this on social or with your friends, etc.
These guys have friends and fans everywhere - let's show them what we can do.
