This comprehensive workshop is the result of a review of the Good Practice and Child Protection workshop. The updated workshop and resource meets the basic foundation requirements for safeguarding and protecting children and young people in sport, for anyone whose role brings them into contact with children and young people.
On completion of this workshop, you should be able to; identify and recognise good coaching practice, and the implications for your coaching; explore your values and feelings in relation to child abuse, and recognise their potential impact on your response; recognise and respond to the signs and symptoms of child abuse and poor practice; and take appropriate action, if concerns about a child arise.
