ISTN - The Careers Talks

It’s only been seven months since the ISTN board was formed and last week saw our first project spring to life. The Careers Talks, began when we met with a local college to talk about what students in Further and Higher education need from industry.

Catherine Lock Head of Computer Science at West Suffolk College brought her class to meet ISTN board members Paul Martin from Setl and Andy Bristow from Bristow Holland to hear their talk - The Key Areas to Increasing Employability.

The talk covers a number of areas from making that initial contact with employers or recruiters, CV preparation and presentation, interview tips and how to get you ‘big break’, focussing on jobs from development to digital creative.

The video is the first in a series, make sure you sign up for updates to have the series delivered to your inbox.

We had a technical glitch meaning the slides were not clear, you can revisit the slides here - The Career Talks - No 1
