🦸🏻♀️ When women take the lead, opportunities increase! Gender diversity unlocks new ideas and innovative approaches to problem-solving within teams 🧠💡It’s a proven fact! Indeed, research has shown a correlation between gender diversity and business performance for nearly a decade. Increasingly, this drives innovation. 📈 🌸 On the occasion of the International Women's Day, we had the pleasure to discuss with Shaheena Janjuha-Jivraj, PhD, FRSA, Anne-Valérie Corboz, and Delphine Mourot - Haxaire, the three authors of "Take the Lead: How Women Leaders are Driving Success through Innovation". They conducted research and interviewed many women leaders who have navigated through crises and fostered innovation within their organizations. ✅  Their work led them to highlight the reasons why it is important to close the gender gap in leadership positions. Not only for social equity but also for positive impacts on business outcomes. Here is a quick overview of what they told us: So, how can women leaders leverage their unique perspectives to drive innovation? As more women take on leadership roles, we see greater collaboration and openness. These are essential to nurture innovation across teams. Women leaders have demonstrated innovation in how they encourage creativity and shape their careers. 🚺 How do women leaders feel empowered to take the lead and spearhead innovation initiatives? Firstly, they need to be in a corporate environment that values and embraces diversity. Secondly, they need to own their strengths and put them forward. Women are very strong at curating diverse, high-performing teams. These teams build better solutions and services for the markets served. 🎯 How can women leaders drive reinvention and lead organizational transformation towards innovative business models? By doing the above, with intention. Leadership adapts when there is great gender diversity. Over time, small steps become sizable shifts changing the nature of leadership towards greater innovation and creativity. 🔄🌈 🫶🏻 Women, here's our special message for you: You really matter.
