Comets Disability Football

Comets Programme launches in Middlesex

Two clubs in Middlesex are piloting the FA’s new Comets programme – for boys and girls aged 5-11 with a disability.

The Comets programme is safe space where disabled children can believe and belong. It steps outside the usual parameters with a bespoke, flexible way of playing. Because this is football that breaks all the old rules and replaces them with a new one; just be you.

The two clubs who are piloting this programme in Middlesex are:

Kensington Dragons FC
Pitshanger FC

We are pleased to announce that both clubs are not charging a fee during the 10-week pilot phase, meaning that participants can try the sessions out cost-free.

Daniel Perkins (Inclusion Officer at Middlesex FA), said: “We are delighted to have two of our England Football Accredited clubs launch this programme with us. The clubs involved have a very large presence in their local communities, and the launch of Comets allows them to support new players and their families who may have not engaged in team sports before.”
