WELLBEING AT THRINGS

Promoting and supporting employee wellbeing is at the heart of our commitment to champion better work and working lives. Having a healthy workplace helps our people flourish and reach their potential whilst creating positive working environments.

Our approach to wellbeing, to benefit our people, our firm, our communities, is supported by five key pillars:

Social

  • Each office and each team hold social events throughout the year and there is a firmwide annual Christmas party;
  • We regularly partake in sporting events and activities within the communities we operate in as well as across the legal and professional sectors.

Mental

  • Our wellbeing strategy is fully endorsed by our Executive Board, with the firm running a specialist wellbeing hub, covering all aspects of wellbeing and signposting to various services and organisations;
  • Thrings has Wellbeing Champions in each office who put on monthly events to raise awareness and bring colleagues together, alongside Mental Health first aiders;
  • We promote active feedback from staff to understand wellbeing across the firm, including through pulse surveys to understand where employees could benefit from any specific areas of support or guidance;
  • We offer a variety of benefits that support mental health such as access to employee assistance programmes and host webinars and mindfulness sessions to aid your mental health.

Physical

  • All staff are entitled to the benefits we offer that support physical health, such as private medical insurance, discounted gym membership and health screening;
  • We ensure that all employees are set up with safe working practices, we encourage walking groups and meetings and to take a break away from your desk.

Financial

  • Our employees are offered a range of financial benefits that can be tailored to their personal circumstances;
  • Staff have access to a range of financial and pension workshops;
  • We provide support for employees to explore pre-retirement planning and phased retirement.

Our Work

  • For the majority of our roles, we offer hybrid working which supports our employees to have a flexible work life balance;
  • Thrings encourages employees to take a volunteering day each year to support the wider community;
  • We create an environment that enables people to flourish and reach their potential, this is supported by regular one-to-ones with managers, performance reviews and training;
  • A wide variety of training is available to all employees through technical webinars and seminars, fee earner framework and Thrings Academy with access to both internal and external training sessions.
