Bangladesh 50: Stories of 1971 – A Story Competition

Meeting of Bangladeshi Community leaders

Do you have a story or a memory to share?

In collaboration with Swadhinata Trust, We’re looking for stories or memories that explore the themes of life in 1971, resistance, liberation and home. You can use local and family history to inspire your work or submit a completely fiction piece.

Submitted stories will be judged on how original, interesting and engaging they are. We are looking for stories that capture the reader and hold their attention.

The 3 winning entries will be awarded a £100 voucher and will be featured in the musical storytelling walking tour we are producing. All submissions will be included in a digital anthology published on our website.
