The Yurt Café

Our poetry club is a vibrant and diverse community dedicated to writers of all levels with an interest in poetry, spoken word and creative writing. 

Join us every first Tuesday of the month for a space to write, read and discuss poetry in a fun and friendly environment. 

The workshops are curated by Toyah Demi, a London-born writer, spoken word poet and host. Toyah enjoys spending time in the national poetry library at the Southbank Centre and a few of her most appreciated poetry collections include: The January Children by Safia Elhillo, Poor by Caleb Femi and Coal by Audre Lorde.

We offer an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch, and brunch with a variety of drink options. Our breakfast menu includes light and healthy options like granola with coconut yogurt and hearty options like full English breakfast.

Our lunch menu includes a variety of delicious options such as fresh, house-made salads, mouthwatering paninis, and freshly made soups. Perfect for those on the go or looking for a quick bite during lunchtime. And of course, you can wash it all down with our selection of refreshing iced coffees or a selection of cold drinks.

We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy a delicious meal, regardless of their dietary preferences or restrictions. Our vegan and vegetarian options are just as delicious and satisfying as our regular menu items.

We offer vegan and vegetarian breakfast options such as avocado toast or vegan sausage sandwiches.

We also have a selection of plant-based milk options for those who prefer non-dairy alternatives.

We're open from 9am until 5pm Monday - Sunday.
